Trainer, actor and director
Training ManagerFélix Kama is an author, playwright, actor and director. He is a teacher of French language didactics and speaks 5 languages, including his mother tongue Eton, French, English, Spanish and German.
After completing his studies in Literature and Theatre, he turned resolutely to the theatre where he puts into practice all his skills. From 1982 to 1989, as an actor in the famous University Theatre of Yaoundé under the direction of Jacqueline Leloup, he played Guéido, Le regard du roi, Meyong Meyeme au royaume des morts, Le testament du chien ou le jeu de la miséricordieuse. In 1984 he took part in the very first Festival de la Francophonie in Limoges, then toured in West Africa, notably in Benin in 1986 and in Ivory Coast at the International Festival of University and School Theatres in 1987. He created with friends the Yaoundé International Theatre from 1989 to 1995 and played Cannibalism by A. Kuma Ndoumbe and hosted a Café Théâtre: Le Zèbre. He directed the play La table du Seigneur Teb'le Nti by S.C. Abega in 1996 with the troupe "Bena Zingui" and participated in the FITHED in Burkina Faso. Engaged with the famous Ambroise Mbia in the Rencontres Théâtrales Internationales du Cameroun, he assumes the artistic direction of RETIC in 1996. In the same year, he received a residency grant at the Akademie Schloß Solitude in Germany. He wrote his first monologue for the theatre: Minkul mi nnem or Dreams in Colour Cactus, which was a great success and was invited to several festivals, including the RETIC in Yaoundé, Paroles d'Hiver in France, MASA in Côte d'Ivoire, the Migration Festival in Rome and the Altro Festivale in Milan, Italy. A year later, he became a member of the Ensemble Theaterhaus in Stuttgart, which he will remain until 2013. He has performed there among others Emma und Eddy, Warten auf Godot, Kleine Engel/Les petits anges, Dirty dishes, Bezahlt wird nicht, Fitz Finger, I want to hold your Hendl, Hier sind sie richtig, Bahnhof Adieu, Elling, Ab heute heisst du Sarah, Benefiz, jeder rettet ein Afrikaner. He participates in various productions in other theatre houses in Germany: Stadtstheater Stuttgart, Landesbühne Esslingen, Theater an die Tonne Reutlingen, Galerie Theater Sindelfingen. Together with actress and actress Ida Ouhé, dancer-choreographer Nestor Yahi and musician Bakary Koné, they are creating the show "Mamoundé, ich gehe" in 2011. Member since 2015 of the group NA JA, he is in charge of training actors with Emile Abessolo M'bo, Binda Ngazolo and Gratia Ngo Mahop. For the creation of a theatrical version of the famous film "Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au bon Dieu" by Philippe Chauveron, he plays the role of André Koffi from 2016 until January 2018 at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna, Austria. Then, from March 2018 with the same play, he is on a tour of 120 shows with the A.Gon Theater in Munich through Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
